The School Site Council provides the opportunity for parents/guardians, teachers, and other staff members to join together as a team to identify common goals and establish a plan to achieve these goals. It is necessary that all members of the council be willing to cooperatively work together to develop an effective curricular and instructional program in which all students will academically benefit.

The School Site Council is to participate in the establishment of a school plan, including a budget. The school plan becomes the guide by which the school, represented by the SSC and the Board of Trustees, establishes an agreement regarding the curricular and instructional strategies implemented at Sky View Elementary School to support the greatest possible levels of teaching and student achievement at our school. The SSC is representative of all segments of the school community including parents, school personnel, teachers and school administration. 

We are proud of the work that the SSC is doing to keep our school making progress.
