Greetings IHCS Families,
State Testing is right around the corner and we want our students to feel the love and encouragement of their community! We invite you to participate as we lift our students' spirits and motivate them during this testing season.
We have a couple ways you can get involved:
- Come by during drop off and pick up of May 8th and May 9th and write an encouraging note for your testing student (3rd - 8th).
- Join in on greeting our students with a poster and a fun message.
7:30AM to 8 AM, May 12th - 23rd.
- If you are a confirmed volunteer consider hosting a lunch activity for students. (Please connect with our COFA to register for a day and time).
- Encourage your students to take part in the Attendance Challenge! Each week during testing, students will receive a special card. They can earn initials from their teacher, parents, supervision staff, and cafeteria team for arriving at school on time, eating a healthy breakfast, going to bed early, and giving their best effort. Once their card is fully completed, they can trade it in with their teacher for a Golden Mariner Buck/Sand Dollar, valued at 10 Mariner Dollars/Sand Dollar!

Dear Mariner Families,
We’re excited to share that four new shade structures will soon be added to our campus to help keep students cooler during the warmer months. Construction will begin on May 5th, with completion scheduled by end of summer.

Attention IHCS families! Please be advised that TUESDAY MAY 27th is an early release day for IHCS students due to the PESD employee picnic.
Students release at 1:00pm* on May 27th.
*This was previously scheduled to be a 1:45pm dismissal. Please note this change in your calendars.
In honor of Teacher Appreciation Day on May 6th, students are invited to participate in a spirit day! Dress like a teacher to show your school spirit!

Please be aware of the ongoing contruction happening on the Nuevo Rd/ Harvill St/ A St interchange. This area is north of the 4-way stop at our parking lot exit gate, going towards the freeway. The roadway south of the 4-way stop will not be affected.
Grinding, grading, and paving work is expected to be performed between Friday, March 28th - Friday, May 9th during the hours of 7am and 4pm. There is likely to be delays and lane closures during this time. Additionally, street parking will not be allowed in the construction zone. Plan additional time for pick-up and drop off. Tardy and early out policies remain the same. Please be patient with roadworkers and other vehicles during your travel through this area.

Open House is tomorrow March 27th from 5:30-6:30. Join us in the gym from 5-5:30 for the Title 1 meeting to learn about how our Title 1 funds are used. See you there!
